That reminds me, we have to go to Hallmark later..

Hello all my fellow artists, bloggers and creative souls.

Here it my launch as an "art blogger." I have been so inspired by the amazing blogs I've seen in Somerset Studios' plethora of magazines.  But, I finally picked up the latest issue of "Artful Blogging" and I was hooked.

I sat there (in my favorite place; Barnes and Noble) and as I drank my coffee and ate my decadent little piece of blueberry cheesecake....I knew I had to jump into the fray!

Like many of you, I have no private shop, or studio.  I have "Kitchen Table Studios," and depending on the project, my children and I may or may not eat at the table.haha..  I do have a table and chairs on our porch, however, so all decorum is not lost dear friends.

If any of you have ever participated in an art show, craft show, etc you too have fielded the "lovely" remarks made by passersby.  The title of today's premier blog is fitting as I have often had to laugh to keep from throwing paintbrushes and glue sticks at those perusing my wares.

To you, sweet artists, muses, inspirators and those wanting to just have a moment to create without interuption...this is for you!

Like many creative souls, I too long for the day when what I love to do, becomes the route for my livelihood. Imagine a day where you can say..."ahhh...I get to do what I love today."

The title of today's post you may ask? Hmm....I was working at my booth at a local art gig, when a woman and her daughter stopped by.  I do watercolors and collage are "heirloom cards." They "oohed and aahhed" over everything, and finally the mother said: "Oh honey, this reminds me, we have to go to Hallmark today." wow.

So to all of my fellow "kitchen table studio"cohorts....stay strong....Hallmark has nothing on us!

With love!
